Shinjini Kundu, MD, PhD is a resident physician and medical researcher at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in the department of radiology. Her research focuses on developing new artificial intelligence technologies for medical diagnosis. She is a pioneer in a new era of partnership between humans and machines. She has authored papers in top journals such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Nature (npj) Digital Medicine. She is one of MIT Technology Review’s 35 under 35, Forbes 30 under 30, winner of the Carnegie Science Award, and author of two TEDx talks. She has spoken at policy forums at the intersection of digital data, privacy, and health at the American Medical Association, World Business Dialogue, Observer Research Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and ITU at the United Nations.
