Pok Wei Heng

Vice-Curator, Auckland Hub, EY

Pok Wei Heng works as a human rights consultant at Edge Impact, with a focus on social procurement, human rights and modern slavery. In his previous role at EY, he also led EY New Zealand's formal submission to Parliament on proposed Modern Slavery legislation, and is currently researching on human rights risks within renewable energy value chains.

Pok is guided by notions of social equity, climate justice and indigenous solidarity. He is a Strategic Council Member of Climate Catalyst, a Board Member of Multiethnic Young Leaders New Zealand and a former Design Partner with the World Economic Forum on climate justice.

He champions the human rights and climate agenda through speaking at multiple high-level fora, with recent engagements at the Nobel Prize Dialogue and at the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting at Davos. Pok envisions a future(s)-state where cultural wisdom, deep time and decolonisation principles are seen as cornerstones of an equitable future.
