Fellows of the Forum

About the Forum Fellowship Programme

The Forum Fellowship Programme is a knowledge exchange programme where top leading talents from the Forum’s most engaged partner companies, governments and international organizations are seconded to the Forum for a period ranging from 6 to 24 months to contribute their expertise to help solve some of the world’s biggest challenges.

Who Can Participate?

Participation in the Fellowship Programme is exclusively extended to partners of the Forum. Organisations without a partnership are not eligible to join the programme.

What Do Fellows Bring to the Forum?

Fellows are professional experts in a specific domain or industry. Their roles are complementary to Forum employees. By bringing fresh perspectives, rich experience, and specialized knowledge, fellows help accelerate progress and generate impact across various Forum’s centres and initiatives.

What Do Fellows Gain?

Fellows gain valuable strategic insights and expand their knowledge through interactions with a broad network of diverse stakeholders. They also deepen their understanding of global business, social and geopolitical challenges while contributing to the transformation of industries and society at scale.

Fellowship Types

The Forum Fellowship Programme offers four distinct types, tailored to different career stages and expertise levels:

Project Fellows: are experienced professionals with specific industry and/or subject-matter expertise who contribute to a Forum initiative, enhancing its relevance, value, and overall impact.

Executive Fellows: are senior experts with over 15 years of experience and deep industry and/or subject-matter expertise who contribute to a Forum Centre, enhancing its relevance, value, and overall impact.

Distinguished Fellows: are retired C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, world-renowned policymakers, and academics with a history of active engagement with the Forum throughout their distinguished careers. They are not currently active in the private sector and serve as strategic advisors, offering insights and guidance to drive systemic change and catalyse large-scale transformation.

André Hoffmann Fellows: are early-career academics working at the intersection of society, science, and technology. Through a two-year joint appointment between the World Economic Forum and a leading academic institution, they contribute to advancing cutting-edge research and its application in public-private collaborations on emerging technologies.
