Fellows of the Forum

The Forum Fellowship is a knowledge exchange programme where top leading talent from the Forum’s most engaged partner companies, governments and international organizations are seconded to the Forum for a defined period of time.

Fellows are professional experts in a specific domain knowledge, who perform in roles that are complementary to Forum staff. They bring rich expertise, diverse experience and perspectives to help accelerate progress and generate impact across various Forum’s centres and projects.

In return, they gain valuable strategic insights and expand their knowledge through interactions with a broad network of diverse stakeholders. They also deepen their understanding of global business, social and geopolitical challenges while contributing to the transformation of industries and society at scale.

There are 4 types of fellows:

  • Project Fellows are highly experienced professionals with specific industry and/or subject-matter expertise with a track record of global engagements in a leadership role

  • Executive Fellows are senior experts with over 15 years of experience in an industry or subject-matter with a track record of global engagements in a leadership role

  • Distinguished Fellows are former C-suite executives and entrepreneurs with no current involvement in the private sector as well as world-renowned policymakers and academics

  • André Hoffmann Fellows are early career academics who have the opportunity to work at the intersection of society, science and technology through a two-year joint appointment between the World Economic Forum and a leading academic institution. The programme develops a crucial link between primary research undertaken at the academic institution and the Forum’s public- private collaborations on emerging technologies.
