Adalah ("Justice" in Arabic) is an independent human rights organization and legal centre. Established in November 1996, it works to promote and defend the rights of the 1.2 million Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel – 20% of the population – as well as Palestinians living in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). Adalah seeks to achieve equal individual and collective rights for Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel and to defend against gross human rights violations against Palestinian residents of the OPT.
