BEIT's main objective is to efficiently solve, on quantum computers, business-relevant problems (protein folding, drug discovery and more) that are too hard at relevant scales for conventional computing. Its novel algorithms require fewer critical resources than previously known quantum algorithms. It has proven this advantage can grow with the problem size. Its goal is to provide, together with hardware partners, full-stack quantum solutions for existential problems within the next several years.
