Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, founded in 1926, operates under laws enacted in 1970 that redefined its duties and responsibilities to implement financial and credit policy. In the second half of the 1980s, the bank inaugurated an interbank money market and foreign exchange money market and started to make use of open market operations.
