Founded in 2002, China Datang (CDT) is a large-scale state-owned power generation enterprise engaged in the development, investment, construction, operation and management of power projects, the production and sale of electricity (co-generation), and electric power-related technology consulting and contracting services in domestic and overseas power sectors. CDT owns five listed companies. By the end of 2018, CDT's power generation assets in operation and under construction were distributed in 31 provinces in China and in Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos, with RMB756 billion in assets, yearly profit RMB9.8 billion and 100,000 employees. CDT has been listed on the Fortune 500 since 2010.
