The Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies is a think tank and global adviser. It is an independent, not-for-profit, membership organization founded in 1969. Its mission is to identify and analyse trends that influence global, regional and national futures. The objective is to strengthen the basis for strategic decision-making in public and private organizations by creating awareness of the future and highlighting its importance to the present. In this, innovation, resilience and sustainability play a key role. The institute's work methods range from statistically based analysis and the identification of global trends, to more subjective emotional factors of importance to the future.
