Ethos Institute for Business and Social Responsibility

A non-governmental organization, created in 1998, seeking to mobilize, sensitize and help companies manage their business in a socially responsible way, making them partners in building a sustainable and fair society. It was conceived by businesswomen and executives from the private sector and is a centre for mobilization, knowledge organization and information exchange. Its 1,392 members comprise companies of all segments and sizes, which account for annual revenues of approximately 35% of Brazilian GDP and employ roughly two million people.
