Worldwide, it is helping to protect and restore 55 million hectares of habitat, including forests, peatlands, grasslands, seagrass meadows and the ocean. Millions of plant and animal species live in – and rely on – these habitats. Many are confined to a particular landscape and exist nowhere else in the world.
