Gaia Amazonas

Established in 1990 and legally registered in 1994, Gaia Amazonas is a Colombian non-profit, non-governmental organization with the aim of consolidating the administration and conservation of territories in the hands of indigenous people and in accordance with their rights as enshrined in the Colombian Political Constitution. It also participates in the Amazon Regional Articulation programme, promoting conservation based on indigenous cultures as a strategy for adapting to climate change.
