Hastings Center

The Hastings Center is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit bioethics research institute founded in 1969. Hastings scholars produce rigorous, innovative scholarship on the social and ethical implications of emerging technologies, life sciences research and healthcare policy. Its focus is on analysing profound values conflicts, achieving consensus where possible, to enhance human well-being and build a future that is fairer, more respectful and compassionate. Center staff are skilled in bringing people together with differing perspectives to build public trust and future-oriented solutions.
