Hony Capital, founded in 2003, specializes in buyout investments. It has $10 billion of assets under management. The investors of Hony Capital include Legend Holdings, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Holdings, the National Social Security Fund, China Life Insurance and leading investment institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Temasek, European and US pension funds and endowment funds. Hony Capital has investments in over 100 companies in China, in the areas of pharmaceutical and healthcare, media and entertainment, consumer products, food and beverage, and machinery and equipment. Its portfolio companies include China Shijiazhuang Pharmaceutical Group and China International Marine Containers.
