Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences

The Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences is a government-funded research institute in zoological sciences. Its research is organized into five themes: the conservation of rare and endangered animals, the control and management of pest animals, reproductive biology, developmental biology and ageing, zoological systematics and evolutionary biology and the prevention and control of animal-borne infectious diseases. The institute has three State Key Laboratories, over 330 staff and about 300 MSc and PhD students.
