International Science Council

International Science Council (ISC) is a non-governmental organisation established in 2018 through the merger of the International Council for Science (ICSU) and the International Social Science Council (ISSC). Headquartered in Paris, it unites scientific bodies across the natural and social sciences to promote international collaboration and strengthen science’s role in addressing global challenges. The ISC mobilises expertise through global research programmes and advocacy for the free and responsible practice of science. With over 190 members, it works to ensure that science contributes effectively to policy, sustainability and societal progress worldwide.
