IOPA

Institute for Orkonerei Pastoralists Advancement (IOPA) is a hybrid social organization that operates in Northern Tanzania to facilitate, direct and shape the social and economic transition of pastoral peoples from a subsistence economy to a long-term sustainable economy. Its focus is on agriculture and economic development. It has engaged Maasai communities in a comprehensive social, political and economic empowerment programme that improves and builds sustainable and quality livelihoods for the Maasai people of Tanzania.
