National Research Council of Canada

National Research Council Canada (NRC / Conseil national de recherches Canada) is the Government of Canada’s principal research and technology organisation. Founded in 1916 and headquartered in Ottawa, it conducts and supports scientific and industrial research to advance national economic, social and environmental objectives. The NRC collaborates with industry, academia and government across diverse fields including digital technologies, quantum and nanoscience, aerospace, clean energy, life sciences and metrology. Through programmes such as the Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP), it fosters innovation, commercialisation and the development of advanced technologies across Canada.
