Nigeria LNG

Nigeria LNG was incorporated in May 1989 to make use of Nigeria's natural gas resources and produce liquefied natural gas (LNG) and natural gas liquids (NGLs) for export from its plant in Rivers State. It is owned by the Federal Government of Nigeria, represented by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC (49%); Shell Gas, SGBV (25.6%); Total LNG Nigeria (15%); and Eni International (N.A.) (10.4%). As at 2014, it supplies 8% of global LNG demand and contributes 4% of Nigeria's GDP.
