Nuru Energy Group

Nuru Energy is a multiple award-winning social enterprise that provides low-power electricity and lighting solutions specifically to the more than 1 billion people in developing countries who are disconnected from the electricity grid and who live below the poverty line. Nuru Energy designs and manufactures its own range of products and distributes them through multiple channels, including its own network of rural village-level entrepreneurs (VLEs). The organization operates in Rwanda on its own and in other countries through a network of partners.
