Panama Canal Authority

Autoridad del Canal de Panamá engages in the administration, operation, conservation, maintenance, modernization, and other related activities of the Panama Canal. The Panama Canal is approximately 80 kilometers long between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It serves approximately 144 maritime routes connecting 160 countries and reaching 1,700 ports worldwide. The company also provides vessel transit services; and generates and sells thermal and hydroelectric power, as well as sells potable water. Autoridad del Canal de Panamá is based in Balboa, the Republic of Panama.
