Peking University

Founded in 1898, Peking University was originally known as the Imperial University of Peking. It was the first national university to cover comprehensive disciplines in China and has played the essential role of pioneers in the course of China’s modernization. As a research-intensive university with strong research capabilities, Peking University consists of six faculties: Sciences, Information and Engineering, Social Sciences, Humanities, Economics and Management, and Health Sciences. It is a cradle of high-calibre creative talent, a platform for research and innovation and a bridge between China and the rest of the world.
