The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) is a leading institution for the study of Asia, Africa and the Middle East and is home to one of the largest concentrations of Middle Eastern expertise in any institution in Europe. The school is home to some of the world’s leading experts and researchers in these regions who act as advisers, commentators and consultants to government departments and non-governmental organizations, as well as the private sector and multinational companies. SOAS has produced several heads of states, government ministers, diplomats, central bankers, US Supreme Court judges, and a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.
