thyssenkrupp is a German multinational conglomerate with focus on industrial engineering and steel production. It has 160,000 employees in 79 countries working to develop solutions for sustainable progress. In fiscal year 2018/2019, thyssenkrupp generated sales of €42.0 billion. It is one of the world's largest steel producers; it was ranked 10th worldwide by revenue in 2015. The company is the result of the 1999 merger of Thyssen and Krupp. ThyssenKrupp's products range from machines and industrial services to high-speed trains, elevators and shipbuilding. Subsidiary ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems manufactures frigates, corvettes and submarines for the German and foreign navies.
