Vivent Biosensor

Vivent is a Swiss deep-tech enterprise founded in 2012 to investigate and develop applications linked to naturally occurring bioelectrical signals in plants. Vivent has developed plant electrophysiology sensors that monitor plants in real-time. Providing growers with information on plants' responses to environmental changes and biotic and abiotic stressors (pests, water and nutrient deficits) means they have an early warning system alerting them to problems with crops before visible symptoms appear. They can then make decisions about water management, fertiliser or crop protection that are better choices for the environment and thus work toward more sustainable food production and increase yields.
