I am the Outgoing Curator of the Riyadh Hub and a Masters of Public Policy Candidate at the University of Chicago. At Riyadh Hub, I am dedicated to orchestrating and advancing initiatives that align with the Hub’s core pillars of sustainable development and youth empowerment. My work involves leading projects that focus on civic engagement, reskilling, social impact, and community development.
I have led sessions engaging key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to increase civic engagement opportunities for youth, impacting over 200 participants. My work also included co-organizing the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) ’18 at UNDP in the lead-up to COP28, bringing together young leaders to discuss and address climate change and sustainability issues.
In addition to these efforts, I have been actively involved in facilitating reskilling programs aimed at early-career professionals. These programs, offered at the Hub, are designed for individuals seeking careers in consulting, social innovation, and data science. I have contributed to designing and implementing workshops that integrate sustainability, and essential future workforce skills, helping participants prepare for the evolving job market.
My commitment to social impact extends beyond the Hub. I have independently raised up to $5,000 focused on orchestrating social development projects by Riyadh Hub in marginalized communities and assisting terminally ill children in Jeddah and Riyadh.
Within the regional context of Global Shapers, I have also contributed to capacity-building initiatives, strengthening governance, and fostering inclusive growth across our regional hubs. I led knowledge-sharing sessions and purpose circles with sister Saudi hubs, facilitating networking and side activations at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Special Meeting on Growth, Energy, and Collaboration for Development. These activities have promoted collaborative action among diverse stakeholders and created opportunities for local impact, encouraging innovative solutions to community challenges.
In addition to my role at the Riyadh Hub, I am the Founder of Starters (www.starters.how), a platform dedicated to sharing stories and insights on discovering one’s calling and the journey to achieving personal and professional goals.
My experiences have equipped me with a unique perspective on the intersection of policy, social development, community empowerment. Whether through leading initiatives at the Riyadh Hub, supporting reskilling programs, or advancing social development projects, I strive to make a positive impact on individuals and communities alike.
