Degree (Hons) in Industrial Engineering, Universidad Católica de Chile; MBA (Hons), University of Chicago. Longstanding professional experience in Chile and abroad. Member, G 50, a group of 50 Latin American leaders. Has been member of the board of several of the largest companies in Chile and other Latin American countries. 2010-14, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile. Has also assumed important roles in non-profit organizations, including: Chairman, ICARE, an institution promoting excellence within the Chilean business community; Chairman, Fundacion Teleton, the largest Latin American institution for disabled people. Chairman, Confederation of Chilean Businesses and Industries. Recipient, Distinguish Alumni Award 2015, University of Chicago.
Minister for Social Development between March 2018 and June 2019. Minister of Public Works (Chile) since June 2019
