Alvin Djajadikerta

Global Shaper, Cambridge Hub

I am a curious and motivated research student with core interests in biochemistry and cell biology. My current research focuses on autophagy – a major pathway of cellular protein degradation and quality control – and its relevance to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s.

Aside from my academic interests, I am passionate about effecting change through community engagement and leadership. In pursuit of this, I have built up an extensive and committed volunteering record, with particular interests in the areas of education, health and sustainability.
