Alvino was recently seconded by the DBSA to join the SDIP Africa Hub team as the Relationship Manager with a Specific focus on Infrastructure programmes and business development. He has over ten years’ experience in Policy and Research analysis, Project and Programme Management and before his secondment he occupied the Infrastructure Programme Specialist position within the International Finance Division of the DBSA and still works closely with the Investment Officers as a Specialist in his field. In recent years he developed a repository of knowledge around all matters related to infrastructure corridor development in Africa. Furthermore, he is responsible for building effective stakeholder relations with key players in the local and international market, strategic planning and works closely with project preparation and investment officers of the bank. Alvino holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and is currently completing his Master’s degree in Commerce, specialising in Development Finance, at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, South Africa.
