Amal Ridene

Global Shaper, Tunis Hub

Amal is an Adaptation and Resilience Consultant at Cadlas, supporting the mobilisation and structuring of finance for climate adaptation investments. She is a Global Shapers’ Tunis Hub outgoing Curator and a Chevening Scholar, holding a Sustainable Development MSc with distinction from the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex.

Previously, Amal served as an Investor Engagement Officer at AfricInvest Group, a leading pan-African private equity firm, where she supported fundraising workstreams, due diligence missions, communications, investor relations and events, as well as climate-related initiatives. She also contributed to climate convenings through her work with the High-Level Climate Champions team and the UNFCCC.

Amal is one of the Tunisian Young Climate Change Negotiators and served as a Party Delegate at COP26, COP27, and COP28 of the UN’s Conference on Climate Change, where she leads the Climate Finance negotiations team. She is a former World Scouting board member and currently serves as Chairperson of its Ethics Committee. She also serves as a board member of RIVET and the Arab Youth4COP Initiative, and is a UNICEF Generation Unlimited YPAT member and a GFANZ advisory panel member.
