Amanda Archibong is an International Development Professional focusing on Trade Policy and Public-Private Partnerships. Her career spans over 7 years providing consultancy services to West African RECs and governments. Working with a Development Consultancy, Saana Consulting, she implemented several initiatives for numerous clients to reduce non-tariff barriers which plague the activities of cross border traders, a significant proportion of which are women. She also conducted evaluations of these initiatives across West Africa and the Pacific Region. Prior to this , Amanda provided consulting services to the ECOWAS Commission through formulating innovative solutions to ensure inclusiveness of West African SMEs and women traders to access the ECOWAS Trade Liberalization Scheme. Amanda has most recently been appointed Partnerships Manager of the African Risk Capacity, the AU Specialized Agency providing financial solutions against climate-prone disasters for African countries. Her role aligns this AU-led disaster risk financing solution to regional efforts of all 6 African RECs as well as those of the Private sector. Amanda has an MSC in International Studies and Politics, a BSC in International Business Management and a Postgraduate certificate in International Trade & Development from the University of Greenwich, Loughborough University and the Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa(TRAPCA) Tanzania respectively.
