As Chief Executive Officer of Zurich Insurance Austria, she led a comprehensive business transformation—advancing digitalization, embedding sustainability into core operations, and shaping a high-performance, modern corporate culture. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles in finance and operations at Zurich Insurance Group, Allianz, and JPMorgan, developing deep expertise in capital allocation, strategic growth, and organizational transformation.
Today, Andrea Stürmer advises companies and municipalities on building resilience in the face of climate change and increasing extreme weather risks. She holds master’s degrees from the London School of Economics and Harvard Kennedy School. In 2012, she was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. She is a member of CEOs for Future and serves as Climate Ambassador for the City of Munich.
