Anita Okemini

Anita Okemini is the Policy Director for Rural Development and Inclusive Growth at the ONE Campaign. She is a public policy expert with significant experience in health care systems improvement, agricultural value chain analysis, trade policy and economic empowerment.

Prior to One, she worked with ENABLE2, a DFID funded program focused on improving grassroot advocacy for business environment reform. Here, she served as Advocacy Organization manager working on policies aimed at improving access to finance, access to markets and reductions in multiple taxation.

She also served as a Program Manager at the Clinton Health Access Initiative- leading both efforts around immunization systems strengthening and cancer management. Her work on immunization led to the adoption of the National immunization strategy, boosting the vaccination coverage rates in the country from ~52% to > 90% .

She has additional experience across a diverse array of leading organizations including Mckinsey and company, United Nations Development Program and Goldman Sachs.

Anita has an Economics degree from University college London and a Masters’ in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government

She is the Dialogue Series Manger of the Abuja hub of the Global Shapers. This role involves the promotion of dialogue between policy makers and the Nigerian Youth. A notable success includes the successful passage of the “not to young to run” bill. She also leads a women faith- based organization which serves as a community for likeminded, ambitious women who aim to dedicate their life to service, love and faith.
