Anzhela Hovhannisyan is a dynamic professional violinist and an impactful leader within the Global Shapers Community. Born in Yerevan, Armenia, and based in Brussels, Belgium, she seamlessly blends her distinguished career as a modern and Baroque violinist with a strong commitment to global youth initiatives.

Within the Global Shapers Brussels Hub, Anzhela has demonstrated leadership as Co-Curator (2023-2024) and previously as Vice Curator (2022-2023). She has been leading impactful mental health project "BodyTalks" and took on the significant role as Co-Lead for the organization of SHAPE Europe & Eurasia 2025 in Brussels. Her dedication extends to cultural education as a speaker for the "DasA" Educational-Cultural Program in Armenia and France.

As a musician, Anzhela is an acclaimed Laureate and Special Prize Winner of national and international competitions, honored with the Gold Medal by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Armenia. She is a recording artist for Halidon Music, an Italian record distributor, and founder of the Otri Trio (an ensemble of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra) and the Iris Ensemble (a Brussels-based early music ensemble).

Her comprehensive musical training includes Master's degrees from the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (Armenia) and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Belgium), alongside Bachelor degrees from Mannes College of Music (NYC, USA) and the Conservatoire Royal de Mons (Belgium). Anzhela's extensive performance career includes regular freelance engagements with the La Monnaie Orchestra and Flemish Symphony Orchestra in Belgium, the Mannheimer Philharmoniker in Germany, and appearances at prestigious international festivals across the globe such as Her festival appearances include "Al Bustan," Midem, "Beethoven Easter Festival," "Khachaturian International Festival," the 40th Gramophone Classical Music Awards, "Caucasus Festival" at the Elbphilharmonie, Malta International Festival, Bayreuther Osterfestival, Art Hulencourt Music Festival, Odessa Classics, Pietrasanta in Concerti, Musiq3, Musicorum, and Intra Muros Festival.
