In recent years, I've been involved in the startup, technology and financial world. My journey into finance started by joining a venture capital firm Overkill VC as the Investment and Ops Director. In order to understand the specifics of startups and the work within them, I joined a fintech startup Nordigen as the Head of Operations.

My work has led me to become interested in financial well-being and equality topics. Almost one in three Latvians have no savings whatsoever. The pandemic has made the matters worse, with recent surveys showing a drop in financial literacy amongst all ages, especially students. To tackle this, I commenced a project named FinLit, aimed at increasing the financial literacy rate of Latvia.

We hope that our actions will serve as a strong stepping stone for Latvia and its citizens to reach a swift economic recovery and strive towards a financially-balanced future.
