Aviwe Funani is the Senior Officer for Child, Youth and Adolscent mental health at United for Global Mental Health. A global policy and advocacy mental health organisation that works closely with governments, parastatal institutions and national projects to make mental health a global priority.

Orygen Global, Youth Advisory Council member an Australian youth mental health intervention working with the World Economic Forum to implement youth advocacy across various continents.

Outgoing Curator of the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers hub in Cape Town.

Awarded one of South Africa's Inspiring Fifty women for 2019 in STEM by CoCreate SA and the Embassy of Netherlands in South Africa.

2019 nominee for Most Influential People of African Descent Under 40 - Global 100 List, as part of the United Nations International Decade for People of African Descent (2015 - 2024)

A Douglas and Eleanor Murray Trust (DGMT) Organizational Innovation Fellow.
