Currently, Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Stanford University; research interests are in designing algorithms for cloud computing, data centres and societal networks, such as transportation, electricity and healthcare. Has helped develop and deploy incentive mechanisms to move commuters to off-peak times so that congestion, fuel and pollution costs are reduced. Recipient of several awards, including: Alfred Sloan Foundation Fellowship; Erlang Prize; Rollo Davidson Prize.
