Bat-Orgil Bat-Erdene is a social entrepreneur, policy advocate, and communicator from Mongolia with extensive experience in social project management, program design, policy advocacy, and storytelling. He previously led several youth empowerment initiatives at Zorig Foundation, a leading NGO in Mongolia, and worked as a journalist and producer at Unnu.news, a local independent media outlet dedicated to making complex topics accessible for young people. During the past elections in Mongolia, Bat-Orgil ran successful grassroots social media campaigns to empower young voters with the information and tools needed to make informed decisions at the ballot box.
Bat-Orgil has co-founded the New Nomad Institute, where he is committed to addressing the global meta-crises, namely the climate crisis by merging the enduring wisdom of nomadic societies with cutting-edge technological innovations. As a Global Shaper, he has served as the Curator for Ulaanbaatar Hub during the 2024-2025 period.
He holds a BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Arizona Honors College and an MPA from University College London, where he studied as a Chevening Scholar. Most recently, Bat-Orgil was selected as a Schwarzman Scholar and he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
