Formerly: Law Clerk to Justice Harry Blackmun, United States Supreme Court, and to Judge Wilfred Feinberg, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; mid-1990s, seconded to UK Serious Fraud Office; has held positions in government service, including Deputy Independent Counsel, corruption investigation of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development during the Reagan Administration; Partner, Shea & Gardner, a Washington D.C. law firm. Currently, Deputy Assistant Attorney-General and Counsellor for International Affairs, Department of Justice. Member, Senior Executive Service of the United States Government. Supervises Office of International Affairs and Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT) and the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP). Member of the Bar of New York and the District of Columbia; Barrister, Middle Temple, England. Recipient: Presidential Distinguished Rank Award; Criminal Division's Henry R. Petersen Memorial Award.
