Butet Manurung or Saur Marlina Manurung conducts an alternative education programme for the Organ Rimba tribe in the Bukit Dua Belas National Park's jungle in Jambi, Sumatra. She is known for her struggle and effort to bring the isolated tribe into literacy by teaching them how to read, write and count. She also learned about the tribe's way of life by living with them for months.
