With regards to professional experience, Carolin has gained experience in the private sector before consciously changing her career path to work in the social sector. She has worked in brand management and business development at P&G for several years, learning how to lead a business, manage international, multi-stakeholder projects and build a brand in the fast-moving consumer goods sector. Before that, she was able to gain experience across different fields such as management consulting, the eCommerce sector, retail/fashion, and telecommunication through different projects and internships.
Based on her personal convictions and especially motivated through her work in the Global Shapers community, she left the industry/corporate world to work in a position that caters to the SDGs/Agenda 2030, i.e. same overall objective of having a positive impact on overall well-being.
She has gained experience working for a social business as well as for the UN World Food Programme. Currently, she is working as a social impact consultant.
Especially motivated by her international and multi-cultural background, having lived in 7 countries and speaking 7 languages, Carolin is very interested in intercultural exchange and positive mutual empowerment. She is a very passionate and intrinsically motivated person that is eager to build bridges and through her skills and knowledge have a positive impact on society. Therefore, she is an avid networker, being an active member of multiple networks with a special focus on female empowerment.
Carolin joined the Frankfurt Hub in August 2018. Due to her moving to Berlin, she transferred to the Berlin Hub in December 2019. Currently, she is leading a project to drive more people to volunteer in Berlin and across entire Germany, while supporting other hub projects. She is Vice Curator of the Berlin hub in 2021/22.
