Cassidy works as a Public Policy Coordinator at Rhino - a company focused on lowering the cost of renting by replacing burdensome upfront cash security deposits with low-cost insurance. Across the United States, $45 billion sits in low-to-no interest escrow accounts. With security deposit alternatives, it is possible to unlock this money to stimulate the economy while accelerating housing access.
During her college years at Emory, Cassidy attended the UN Climate Conference in Bonn, where she observed firsthand the importance of international dialogue and cooperation to tackle the world’s biggest crises.
Before pivoting to work in housing policy, Cassidy worked in energy efficiency policy for Bloomberg Associates. She also worked with Central Atlanta Progress on sustainable urban planning, specifically coordinating engagement and research to create the Downtown Sustainability Action Plan. When she’s not working on shaping social policy, you can find her doing art, hiking, camping, listening to political commentary, or playing Dungeons & Dragons.
