BBA. From 2007, two consecutive terms as President of the Regional Government of San Martin. Elected twice as President of the National Assembly of Regional Governments of Peru. Has also served on the High-level Commission on Anti-Corruption, on the Permanent Multisectoral Commission of Monitoring Government's actions against Illegal Mining, on the Executive Council on Prevention of Social Conflicts related to Natural Resources, and has been a member of the National Council on Crime Policy. Has also served as Chairman, Agency for the Promotion of Private Investment in the Amazon and as President, Interregional Amazon Council. Currently Prime Minister of Peru. Recognized for career and accomplishments in the fields of regional development, private business sector and international technical cooperation. As Regional President, recognized for attaining: first place among regions nationally in public investment since 2009; first place in quality of education. Recognized by the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion for reaching a major goal in reducing chronic child malnutrition in the region (2013).
