Graduate, National Administration School of Algiers; PhD in Land Planning. Currently, Minister of Industry, SMEs and Investment Promotion of Algeria; contributed to the implementation of the Environment and Sustainable Development National Action Plan to improve health and life quality, competitiveness and global environment, natural capital productivity and the mitigation of economic losses. 2009 and 2010, coordinated the UN negotiations on Climate at the level of the African Ministers in the framework of the Copenhagen (COP15) and Cancun (COP16) Conferences. Chairman, World Deserts; Spokesman, United Nations International Year of the Deserts and Desertification. Recipient: Champion of the Earth prize, United Nations Environment Programme (2007); Environment Shield, Arab network for the environment and sustainable development (2008); Ambassador of the Mediterranean Coast, Mediterranean Action Plan.
