Chair, Cyprus Council of National Economy. Fellow of many learned societies, including: the British Academy; Academia Europeae; Academy of Athens. Recipient of awards and honours, including the Nobel Prize in Economics (2010). Expertise: the economics of labour markets with special emphasis on unemployment, structural change, macroeconomic policy and European integration.
