Since March 2011, Premier of British Columbia; has focused on diversifying trade with international markets, particularly in Asia; in November, led the largest international trade mission in British Columbia 's history to China and India, signing more than 60 agreements with a dollar value exceeding CN$ 1.4 billion; second jobs and trade mission in April was to Korea, Japan and the Philippines and led to 25 business deals valued at over CN$ 500 million; has made it a priority to develop export infrastructure and markets for British Columbia's vast supply of natural gas; the government is committed to having the first liquefied natural gas plant open by 2015. Recipient of awards, including: YWCA Woman of Distinction Award (2009).
