Delia Fischer

Global Head, Corporate Communications and Thought Leadership, Adecco Group

The Adecco Group Global Head of PR and Internal Communications
Delia Fischer has more than two decades of experience in high-profile media and communications roles, from sports journalism and football governance to her latest challenge of shaping the global conversation about the future of work. Before joining The Adecco Group, Delia was Head of Media and official spokesperson at FIFA, helping to steer the organisation through the biggest crisis in the history of global football, and managing complex FIFA World Cup communications for South Africa, Brazil, Russia and Qatar.
An expert in political and economic issue management, event planning, media relations, social media and executive communications, Delia started her career at 16 years of age as a sports journalist for Austrian broadcaster ORF. She became the first female journalist to cover football in Austria, and went on to earn a masters degree in economic science, specialising in sports management.
During a 15-year career at FIFA, Delia became a successful and influential stalwart in the male-dominated world of football, helping to raise the profile of women in the sport, and to lay the foundations for others to break through its many glass ceilings.
Delia is now focused with her team on driving positive change through communications in the world of work with The Adecco Group, the world's leading workforce solutions provider, focusing the company's communications strategy on areas such as workplace inclusion, equality and innovation. Her department is also responsible for the Thought Leadership as well as leading the strategic partnership with the World Economic Forum.
