Elmer Chukwunoyenim Aluge is a management and public health professional with demonstrated technical and programmatic management skills in designing and implementing integrated healthcare, advocacy and management programs to address prevailing health challenges in low and middles income countries. Through public and private sector engagements she has worked to ensure marginalized and high risk groups have access to health care and required support through disability inclusive programs.

Elmer has a Bachelor’s degree in General Biology and a Strategic Management MBA which she has used to develop targeted programs for health development and improvement in two geopolitical zones in Nigeria spanning the Oil and Gas, technology and health care sectors.

Her career focuses on health care solutions for Sickle Cell Disease advocacy, management and care, Health education and Telemedicine development in Nigeria. She is the President of the Sickle Cell Aid Foundation and Executive Director for On Call Medics Health International where she pushes to leverage technology for healthcare advancement in rural communities.

She is a Global shaper with the Abuja hub chairing the “Abuja Dialogue Series” aimed at policy development from community/stakeholder engagement and dialogue. She is a 2014 recipient of the prestigious Who’s Who is American Universities & Colleges award and a 2020 awardee of the Access bank Covid -19 hero’s award for her work in first response for high risk groups during the COVID – 19 pandemic. Through various efforts, she is championing inclusive practices for individuals living with disability and underserved groups in the post Covid-era in accessible employment, education and health care services.
