Emirhan Samancı is a member of the Global Shapers Community, which he joined in 2022. He is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in economics at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. Emirhan has previous experience in private equity and venture capital investments at the Turkish Sovereign Wealth Fund, where he contributed to the evaluation of strategic opportunities. He is actively involved with several organizations, including the Royal Economic Society and the Econometric Society, and he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He is also a member of the Common Futures Conversations initiative of Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs. His primary areas of interest include political economy, geopolitics, and sustainability, with a focus on the green transition and energy security.
