Former Researcher, Washington DC-based think tank Resources for the Future (RFF). 1981-2012, with the World Bank; joined as a Young Professional; held senior positions, including Regional Director for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti; Regional Director for the Great Lakes and South/Central Africa (Burundi, Congo, DRC, Rwanda and Multi-country Demobilization and Reintegration Program); Resident Representative for Togo and Benin, Senior/Principal Operations Officer in the Latin America and Caribbean and Africa Regions; Director, Strategy and Operations, Middle East and North Africa Region (MENA); concurrently, Director, Core Operational Services. Economic Adviser to the Government of Comoros on secondment from the World Bank. Recipient, honours and awards, including: World Bank Group Diversity and Inclusion Lifetime Leadership Achievement Award (2012); Good Manager Award, World Bank Group Staff Association (2007); Mentor Recognition Award, Africa Region of the World Bank (2002).
